Solar Attic Ventilation

Solar Attic Fans

Cooler attic. Longer roof life. Zero operating cost.

Our solar attic fans offer a natural, cost-effective way to enhance home comfort and efficiency. They promote a well-ventilated attic, maintain a more temperate and dry environment, and reduce HVAC load. By harnessing solar power, they operate at no additional energy cost.

Solar attic fans turn passive ventilation into an active system that improves the health and efficiency of your home. Available in 25-watt, 30-watt roof-mount, 30-watt gable-mount, and 70-watt models. Only the 30-watt roof-mount carries Florida + Texas Windstorm + TAS100 certification.

Benefits across all variants

  • 1

Extended roof and AC system lifespan

Reducing extreme attic temperatures minimizes thermal stress on roofing and HVAC equipment.

  • 2

    Moisture and mold reduction

Active venting cuts attic moisture, preventing mold and mildew growth.

  • 3

    Increased air exchanges

More frequent air turnover keeps the attic environment fresh and dry.

  • 4

    Cost-efficient

Powered entirely by sun. Zero operating cost after install.

  • 5

    Durable construction

Aluminum components and stainless steel fasteners stand up to extreme conditions.

  • 6

    Year-round temperature regulation

Cooler attic in summer, prevents winter condensation on roof beams and rafters.

  • 7

    Protects attic contents

Stable attic temperatures protect stored items and structural elements.

Plan your intake ventilation

Every solar attic fan needs balanced soffit intake to do its job. We use the 1/150 FHA standard, 480 sq in of Net Free Air per fan. Without enough intake, the fan creates negative pressure and works against itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many fans do I need?+

Use the 1/150 FHA standard. You need roughly 480 sq in of Net Free Air (NFA) for every solar attic fan installed. Use our soffit calculator to plan intake ventilation properly.

Why is intake ventilation critical?+

A solar attic fan pulls hot, moist air out of the attic, but fresh air has to come in from somewhere. Without enough soffit intake, the fan creates negative pressure and works against itself.

Roof mount or gable mount?+

Roof mount installs through the roof deck for direct attic ventilation. Gable mount installs in the gable end for homes where roof penetration is not preferred. Both 30W variants are available.
