How does Shingle Serum differ from other products?+
Shingle Serum is comprised of Tall Oil derived bio-sustainable White Pine resin. Same chemistry as asphalt shingles, making it ideal for the rejuvenation process. Unlike soy or corn oil products, tall oil is designed for asphalt and replenishes the oils lost with age, not just coats the surface.
Are there large start-up costs?+
No. The Attic Depot does not charge start-up fees, subscriptions, or minimum purchase orders. Get set up as a customer and start offering Shingle Serum (and our other products) the same week.
What equipment will I need?+
Shingle Serum can be applied with a backpack sprayer. For larger jobs, a low-pressure (200 psi) high-volume setup works well. Most home improvement stores stock setups under $2,000.
Do I need to clean the roof before applying?+
Many roofs can be treated without cleaning first. Shingle Serum will stop the growth of most organic blemishes. Roofs that are visibly dirty or have significant algae growth should be treated with our Roof Cleaner first and then rinsed with water.
